The following are the Delivery Day Checklist:
- Your ScellCare Cord Blood Collection Kit | Take your entire bar coded, Cord blood collection kit to the birth center. Give it to your doctor or nurse upon admission to the delivery area.
- Doctor's Job | the Collection Procedure The doctor or nurse will draw blood from the mother for hospital use as well as for infectious disease testing by the Cord blood lab. Remember to make sure maternal blood is drawn and placed in the kit. The empty vials specifically sent in the kit for this sample. After the umbilical Cord is cut, your doctor or attending nurse will follow the Cord blood collection procedure and collect the Cord blood into a closed-system bag that has the least chance of contamination.
- Call the Number for Courier Pick Up | The number is listed on your collection kit. It is important to call ScellCare within one hour after the birth of your child.
- Place the collection kit into it's shipping Box | Everything will be prepared and ready to go when your medical courier arrives.
- Keep the kit at room temperature at your bedside | And, never refrigerate the collected Cord blood.
- The courier will take care of your kit's shipment to Tran-Scell Biologics at Hyderabad.
